Yeratta Creek

Yeratta is located 8 Kilometers away from Rangat. It has abundant mangrove life. The harbour of Rangat is in Yerrata and is known as the Yerrata Jetty. It is a great spot to observe and study a diverse variety of mangroves. As an initiative towards creating awareness among the general public and tourists about mangroves, department of Environment and Forests has established a Mangrove Interpretation Centre which has attractive display panels depicting various species of mangroves found in these islands.

Ambkunj Beach

The Amkunj beach is located at the Nimbutala village at a distance of 8kms from Rangat. The beach is equally beautiful and scenic just like any other beach in Andaman. There are many eco-friendly sofa-like sit-outs, some eco huts for providing shade and small round tables erected by the beachside which makes it a good place to sit and unwind on a bright sunny day. One can opt to swim here and soak in the warm sun for a lot of Vitamin D and much more peace of mind.

Dhaninallah Mangrove Walkway

Located on the outskirts of Rangat, this walkway is your welcome escape into the arms of nature. As you tread through the twists and turns of the Dhani Nallah Mangrove Walkway, enjoy the breath-taking beauty of the mangrove ecosystem. The Dhani Nallah beach is also famous as a turtle nesting spot. The Olive ridley species of sea turtles are the most common here. There is a small eco-friendly hut situated on the mangrove walkway named Olive ridley after the turtle species. The name Dhani Nallah comes from a mangrove variety which is called ‘Dhanipatti’ by the local people.

Morrice Dera Beach
